* An update on the
administration and project accounts will be provided in an effort to help us
determine the dues for 2008-2009 (administration) and remaining funds to be
expended from the project account before July 1, 2008.
** During New
Business on May 5, Kate and Mike Lancor will bring forth a proposal to have the
Lions Club approach the Town about the Recreation Department using the Lions
Clubhouse beginning in September for youth and senior activities. As for youth, the clubhouse may make a
better site for the Rec. Dept.’s after school program that is currently
conducted out of the former police department building adjacent to the public
library. As for seniors, activities
could be conducted during the morning hours before meals on wheels and during
the afternoon hours after meals on wheels.
Senior citizens could be surveyed to determine the types of activities
that interest them.
